Vijayawada: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy returned to Andhra Pradesh from abroad by a special flight, which landed at the Vijayawada Airport during the early hours of Saturday.
The YSRC chief received a rousing welcome from ministers, MPs, MLAs and party leaders at the airport and his residence at Tadepalli as well.
Jagan Mohan Reddy, along with his wife and daughters, had embarked on a much-needed holiday on May 17 on completion of the Assembly and Lok Sabha polls in Andhra Pradesh on May 13. The cities they visited include London and Switzerland.
The Chief Minister has returned ahead of the counting of votes on June 4. He is expected to direct party leaders on precautionary measures to be taken ahead of counting in the counting halls, so that any malpractices could be checked.
In a separate development, minister Jogi Ramesh asked Telugu Desam chief N. Chandrababu Naidu why he kept his foreign visit a top secret.
Speaking to mediapersons, he wondered why a publicity savvy Naidu did not share a single photo while on his foreign trip.
