Vijayawada: A metropolitan magistrate court granted conditional bail to Vemula Satish Kumar who was the main accused in a case of stone pelting against Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
The principal junior civil judge-cum-metropolitan magistrate C. Ramana Reddy allowed the petition filed under Section 445 of CrPC for hearing here on Saturday.
After hearing both the parties, the magistrate granted bail to Satish on submission of two sureties of Rs 50,000 each and issued a release order. The order said that the accused should appear before the SHO of Ajit Singh Nagar police station on every Saturday and Sunday.
As Satish is lodged in Central Prison in Nellore, he may be enlarged on bail on Sunday morning.
