Khammam: Income Tax and Enforcement Directorate officials raided former MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy’s residence here on Thursday.
The IT and ED officials who arrived in eight vehicles as early as 3 am conducted inspections at the Congress leader’s residence and office simultaneously They seized the mobile phones of the ex-MP’s followers.
Srinivas Reddy, while addressing an election meeting on Wednesday, had said that soon IT and ED officials might raid his residence.
He was scheduled to file his nomination papers as Congress candidate for Palair Assembly seat on Thursday.
