Hyderabad: Former Minister and senior BRS MLA T Harish Rao criticised the State government over the hospitalisation of 60 students from the tribal residential welfare school at Wankidi in Kumaram Bheem Asifabad district. He held the government responsible, over its negligence in ensuring welfare of students, which turned into a curse for them.
In a statement, Harish Rao expressed his outrage over the inadequate medical response, with students admitted in local hospitals in batches, rather than providing them with proper care. “Who is accountable for the student now on a ventilator due to the lack of timely treatment?” he questioned.
The former Minister found fault with Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy who holds the portfolio of the education department, for negligence in addressing the issues plaguing the Gurukul schools. “It is shameful that the once-respected Gurukuls’ reputation is eroding daily due to such neglect,” he remarked.
